Information on the Battery Law
Most electronic devices come with batteries, such as our diving lamps, dive computers, dive watches, and other electronic instruments like digital manometers and oxygen analyzers. In connection with the sale of these batteries and replacement batteries, we as a retailer are obliged under the Battery Law to inform our customers of the following:
Please dispose of used batteries and accumulators (rechargeable batteries) as required by law, at a municipal collection point or return them to local retailers free of charge. Disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited by the Battery Law. This ensures that raw materials and potential pollutants are properly recycled. Batteries that we sell or have sold in our store can be returned to us after use at the following address, or you can send them back to us by post, sufficiently stamped. This applies to quantities typically discarded by end users.

This obligation is indicated by the crossed-out trash bin symbol found on all battery packaging. You will also find the chemical symbols for the substances Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb), or Mercury (Hg) if they are present in concentrations above the threshold values.
These instructions can also be found in the accompanying documents of the shipment or in the manufacturer's user manual.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% by mass of lead
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% by mass of cadmium
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.005% by mass of mercury
