Opalite plates green for the years 2019 / 2024 / 2029
Opalite plates are important tools for beekeepers to mark and identify their queen bees. These plates are made of special plastic and have the shape of small discs with a diameter of about 5 mm.
The queen bee opalite plates are available in different annual colours, each associated with a particular year. In this case, it is the colour green, which is intended for the years 2019, 2024 and 2029.
Attaching the marker plates to the queen bee is an important step in beekeeping and makes it easier to identify the queen, especially during the inspection of the hive. The marking allows beekeepers to quickly see if the queen is still alive and how old she is.
You can stick the plate on the queen with a commercially available adhesive such as quick-setting varnish, nail varnish or superglue. The plates are numbered from 1-99.
