Honey chamber frame for Dadant honeycombs
The Combi hive from Stehr has the great advantage that there is a wide variety of brood chamber frames available for this hive system. With many comb dimensions there is no difference between the brood chamber and the honey chamber. This means that honey is often harvested from already incubated combs. In addition, a honey chamber with full honeycombs can easily weigh 30 to 40 kg. The beekeeper simply uses a trick: he halves the height of the frames for the honey chamber and thus obtains smaller honey chambers that are easier to handle. This also makes it easier to adapt to the development of the bee colony in spring, as the living space for the bees is only gradually increased.
The honey chamber frame offered here for the combi hive is designed for the Dadant honey frames and can be combined with all brood chamber frames.
