The manufacturer Stehr offers this insert plate as a warming board for its hive bottoms in order to be able to cover the grid bottom or the grid plate if necessary. Even those who do not carry out the cold hibernation caused by the varroa mite have the possibility to close the hive floor completely to avoid heat loss in the bee dwelling.
