Transformer soldering machine for soldering in center walls
Since the introduction of mobile construction in the beehive, beekeepers have had the option of fitting the honeycomb frames with beeswax plates, center walls. The cell pattern of the combs is pre-printed on these center walls. The middle walls allow the bees to build up a comb overnight if there is good honey flow. In natural hives this normally takes much longer. The most diverse and inventive methods are devised to attach these center walls. The most tried and tested is the tensioning of frame wire. This tensioning wire, now made of stainless steel, is heated by means of an electric current. The center walls placed on this honeycomb wire are heated at the contact points and sink in. It can be easily controlled that the wire is in the middle of the center walls. For soldering, place the center walls on the wires and press the poles (banana plugs) by hand onto one end of the frame wire.
