Wire tensioner for honeycombs
Wiring the honeycomb frames is a recurring (winter) task in beekeeping. The new stainless steel wires can be used again after the honeycombs have been melted out and cleaned. Unfortunately, they often no longer have the necessary tension for soldering in the centre walls. With this frame wire tensioner the wire can easily be tensioned again.

How does it work?
The extra-hardened wheels, which look almost like a cogwheel, are pressed onto the frame wire by hand and slowly pulled along. The wire is bent in zig-zag and thus becomes shorter and thus tensioned. The tensioning force is determined by how much of the total length is worked. This process can be repeated over many years and saves the tedious work of wiring.
