Segeberger two / third frame / flat frame
Honey chambers filled with honey quickly reach a weight of 20 - 30 kg. Working larger apiaries is therefore a tough job. But why not make the work easier? Smaller honey chambers with combs that are only half or, as here, 2/3 as high reduce the weight considerably. In addition, with these frames the beekeeper has the possibility to better adapt the room expansion to the development of the colony. But even colonies formed in May can still produce a honey yield in summer with the help of these frames, as the space occupied by the bees is much smaller.
Suitable for the Segebeger hive system from the manufacturer Stehr. Frame for 11 German standard size 2/3 frames with 159 mm height. The frame has four recessed grips for easy transportation of the frames.
